Dancer Lauren Turley, originally from Dennisport, MA, a small town on Cape Cod, grew up as a competitive gymnast and began dancing at Reaching Heart School of Ballet, after her coaches introduced ballet technique to their program. In May 2016, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford earning a BFA in Dance with an emphasis in Ballet Pedagogy. While attending the university, she had the privilege to perform works by Gregory Dolbashian, José Limon, Martha Graham, Alex Ketley, Maris Petipa, Stephen Pier, Ralph Perkins, Mikhail Fokine, Charlotte Griffin, Jean Paul Comelin, Gemma Bond, Anthony Tudor and Norbert De La Cruz III. Lauren has also trained in programs at Boston Ballet, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, New Dialect, RUBBERBANDance Group, and BluePrint. Through these intensives, she was fortunate to be able to work with artists such as Summer Lee Rhatigan, Alex Ketley, Alessio Silvestrin, Banning Bouldin, Victor Quijada, James Gregg, Cindy Salgado, and Sidra Bell. Outside of performing, Lauren also enjoys teaching and currently works at Ballet Tech and NYC Elite Gymnastics in the city.
