Mapping the Heart

When we align and connect our hearts and minds and connect with others, we awaken the higher mental, emotional and spiritual capacities that frequently lie dormant. - HeartMath Institute
Mapping the Heart is a four-part interdisciplinary journey currently in creation.
Through powerful choreography, Dance Alchemy, and community exploration, the project maps the unseen emotional landscapes that shape and guide us.
Rooted in research on heart-brain coherence, and informed by Eastern philosophy, energy practices, and consciousness studies, the work is an inquiry into how we heal and open the collective energy of the human heart.
Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi — mending broken pottery with gold to reveal beauty in imperfection — Mapping the Heart explores the heart's profound capacity to hold joy, sorrow, and transformative truth.
The Mapping the Heart Circle is a free, private online community that opens a window into the project itself. Through gentle weekly prompts, short meditations, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the choreographic process, the Circle offers more than just access — it becomes part of the creative journey. It is both a gathering place and a creative laboratory: a space to pause, reflect, and connect with others while witnessing the unfolding of a dance work more than twenty years in the making. Register for the Circle here.
Each of the four parts of Mapping the Heart invites a new perspective, encouraging connection, healing, and rediscovering what it truly means to feel whole.
