Dancer Petra Dušková was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. She started studying dance when she was 4 years old at Prague's InDance Studio. In 2005, she became a member of the company and teacher with at the studio, as well as winning 1st place at the International Jazz Dance Open, Grand Festival The Magic Bridges of Vienna and Czech National competition. She has been a backup dancer to many famous Czech singers such as Karel Gott, Olga Lounová and Markéta Konvičková. In 2013, she graduated from the dance conservatory Taneční Centrum Praha/Dance Center Prague and received her diploma in dance - Dis. After graduation she received a 2 year full scholarship from Igal Perry for Peridance Capezio Center's Certificate Program in New York. She graduated from Peridance Capezio Center in 2015 with her professional certification. Since 2008 she had chance to travel the world with World Dance Movement, and as an assistant to Michele Assaf, Desmond Richardson, and Bruno Colinet. She has also assisted Cheryl Copeland in setting a piece for the Alvin Ailey School. She has worked most recently with Forces Of Nature Dance Theater, Abarukas, Azul Dance Theater and Victory Dance Project.
